Printing problem

Former Member

Hi,

After upgrading the kernel and applying ST-Pi ST-A/PI addons and their patches we have a problem.

If we print from any sap standard transaction , the print is not coming properly.

There are text overlaps and some times there is some garbage is printed.

if print is given as part of Y or Z transaction the print is perfect.

The GUI version is 6.20 with latest patch level and kernel 640(latest).

R/3---4.7SR200

DB:SQL

OS:Windows 2003 adv.server.

I will try to upgrade the GUI to 640 but I'm not sure whether this can solve the problem because the printing is a problem only with standard t-codes and with z or y t-codes it's fine.So i think GUI may not be a problem.

If any one came across this type of weird scenario please let me know the solution .

Thanks & Regards,

Bapu

hi bapujee,

Are the spools showing any error logs ?

Regards.

Hi Ruchit,

There are no error logs for the spool request as well as output requests.

Status says "completed" and the info says "print possibly printed."

the status of spool/output requests associated with standard or z todes is same.

Thanks & Regards,

Bapu

Hi Bapujee,

It doesn't sound like a kernel problem, sounds more like a driver issue, Have a look at:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d9/4a8eb751ea11d189570000e829fbbd/frameset.htm

Hope this help!

Hi Juan,

may be you are right.

As i said earlier the print is coming proper when given as part od a Y or Z transaction.

The problem is with the sap standard t-codes only. Then in this case do you think driver can be an issue here ?

Thanks & Regards,

HI, at very first, check for side effects notes for this specific PI package.

If it is one of the side-effects, you will find resolving note there in the report.

You should check for side-effects for any package you plan to import in your system, BEFORE inporting them.

Can you provide which addons did you apply to your system?
