Of course, I think I've read the readme's and followed all the instructions regarding making sure my system is ready for this install. That assumption made, I get these errors during the database installation:

I tried, but the form submission hung for quite a fiew minutes. I'll try again later. Your help was very much appreciated. I hope you earn that onsite SDN massage that I heard rumors about.

Hi Andrew,

it's nice, that my answer solved your problems finally and you gave Daniel the points for that ;-).

Best regards

You are all awesome people, but I'm chuckling a bit at the nit-picking over reward points. But, I'm new hear and won't judge any of you, I just saw some humor in it, but I like you all so forgive me. I'm very new to this system and have already found much willing help in this forum and thanks you all for your time.

For the record, I tried the '_' before reading your post Stefan. So, technically, you don't deserve the points ;-). All smiles though. The admins can give the appropriate points to whom they see fit and I welcome the help very much.

Sincerely,

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

just for the record, i'm the last one (despite others) running around here and hunting for (virtual) points (for an example you may have a look at this ). For me it simply looked like you missed this. Since my crystal ball is out of order at the moment (and my answer has been posted 4 minutes after the corresponding question, which makes it technically impossible to try it out by yourself in this short amount of time), this was meant as a hint, nothing else (therefore the at the end).

Anyway, the only important thing is, that you figured it out (with or without help) finally.

Kind regards

Stefan

PS: Nevertheless a thank you to Benny.

Have a nice time on SDN.

Final reply,

'_' worked fine as a non alpha numeric. Thanks for the pointer that got me going.

ERROR 2005-01-11 10:33:23

FSL-01002 Unable to create account AHAMILTO1-XP\SAPServiceAH3. The password does not meet the password policy requirements. Check the minimum password length, password complexity and password history requirements.

Looks like a chicken and egg problem. My company has enforced certain password requirement in the XP environment, such as to included one non-alphanumeric. So I will keep trying to find an non-alpha numberic that will work. Any that people think may be safer than other would be good. I think a '!' was bad, as that got me to post here. I will try others now.

Hi Andrew,

it is a chicken and egg problem. Try the unserscore '_', this might work (but is it non-alphanumeric?).

Hope that helps.

I will try. I used a bang in the password, as the installer said to make the password confirm with my companies rules...

My apologies for the large post...

HI,

I've deleted some of the unnecessary stuff. Please don't submit complete logfiles.

The idea with user/password is a good one...

Benny

Your not using special characters in your user\password by any chance are you? You should only use alpha numeric in both.

Hope this helps

Daniel
