Deployment error

Hi to all,

while deploying a web Dynpro application, deployment get aborted with the following error.

Oct 27, 2006 1:30:34 PM /userOut/deploy (com.sap.ide.eclipse.sdm.threading.DeployThreadManager) [Thread[Deploy Thread,5,main]] ERROR:

[001]Deployment aborted

Settings

SDM host : sssc20

SDM port : 50218

URL to deploy : file:/C:/DOCUME_1/ARVIND1.KAU/LOCALS~1/Temp/temp55806Test.ear

Deployment exception : Server sssc20 did not accept login request as apiadmin on port 50218 - CmdXmlFactory could not find Top Element within String: "null".

Inner exception was :

Server sssc20 did not accept login request as apiadmin on port 50218 - CmdXmlFactory could not find Top Element within String: "null".

Please help me, what could be the reason for it??

hi,

Restart the J2ee engine and then deploy once again.

Then it might helps you. Ohter wise post your trace.

Thanks for reply. I redeployed the application without doing any modifications. This time it get deployed but it is taking 17 to 20 mins to get deployed.

It is a very small application. What could be the reason for it.

Please help me.

Hi,

just restarting the server any application will take more time to deploy .

After started the server only you can deploy.

Thanks for quick reply, but i did not restarted the server then also it is taking about 20 mins to deploy. I deployed 2,3 times it is taking that much time to get deployed.

Any suggestions??

Hi Pankaj,

As per your information application is small ideally it should deploy fast. other possiblities are

1. Due to less memory it will take more time to deploy. check your System Requirements how much free space is required how much you have for you installation.

2. Are you using VPN? check the connection also.

Thanks for reply, I have 512 MB RAM and 40GB of secondry memory of which 18GB is free.

I am sorry, i don't understand about VPN, will u please explain it a bit more and how can i check it?

Hi Pankaj,

I think your deploy to your local machine not to any remote server right. If Server is in remote place we can use Virtual private are network.

Are using 2004 or 2004s?. because 1 GB RAM is recommended for 2004s. I think because of your RAM size only your application taking more time for deployment.

Ask you Server administrator whether server has enough memory space. I think your server is dying.
