Hi all,

we've downloaded an attachment of an OSS-note. This attachment contains 2 transport-files. So how do we get them into the system?

Regards

Olaf

Firstly,

store the K* file into the \usr\sap\trans\cofiles

& R* file into the \usr\sap\trans\data

Make sure that the permissions for the files are correct

Secondly,

login to the SAP system.

Execute transaction STMS.

Navigate yourself to Overview -> Import (F5)

choose the queue you want to import the request

Then choose

Extras --> Other Requests -

> Add

Specify the request & then import the request as required.

thanx for you quick reply,

but we still got problems:

We've got an error 0247: addtobuffer has problems with data- and/or cofile

What extension does the files have to have?

Hi,

Presuming that you have added the files into the correct folders, you need to make sure that when you add the requests manually by using Extras -> Other Requests -> Add you type the extention first and then the request, for example if your requests is K123456.SAP you need to typr SAPK123456

error 0247: addtobuffer has problems with data- and/or cofile means that the cofile and datafile are not in the right directories, usually cofile and data directories are under <drive>:\usr\sap\trans in some occations when the server have more than 1 system the dolder change in order to make sure where to drop the files go to transaction AL11 and check the path for DIR_TRANS That will tell you where the right directories are located.

Hope this help!

I think you have got two files like Kxxxxxx.SAP and Rxxxxxx.SAP.

Place the Kxxxxxx.SAP in /usr/sap/trans/cofiles directory and Place the Rxxxxxx.SAP in /usr/sap/trans/data directory.

Now go to STMS-->click on the import overview >select your system>extras>other requests>add-->select the request from the F4list (eg.SAPKxxxxxx) and it will be added to the queue and now you can import that.

Make sure you select the correct request from F4 list.
