Set timeout for specific channel or interface

Is there a way to set the timeout for a specific channel or Message interface?

I have read Michal's blog but these settings are system or service wide:

One option use a BPM with a Deadline Monitoring Branch.

Hi.

Unfortunately we cannot use an IP (BPM) as we run a high volumn interface and IP is to slow.
