Can you please elaborate ur query - I didnt get ur doubt.

If i am not wrong, sxi_cache is refreshed at design and configuration time. Every time u activate an object in ID, delta refresh takes place and updated object is seen in sxi_cache.

Message processing in BPM means u r referring to runtime where i do not think any Cache refresh takes place.

Cache is mainly used for cahching for ur messages.generally data first enter into cache fro exchange profile parameters when J2ee engine started.cache is activated when the objects in the ID are activated.
