Alerts Not generating to Alert Inbox

Hi,

i am configuring CCMS.my requirement is when an alert is generated it should be intimated in ALERT INBOX.i have followed all the steps required for this configuration.even i subscribed to the alert categories.but i am not able to get any alerts to alert inbox.can any one please suggest any solution for this?
