Problems deploying and lanuching applications

Former Member

Hi,

We have installed the Web AS 6.40 trial version successfully. Every component is up and running.

The Netweaver Developer studio is also installed on <u>the same PC</u>. I followed the tutorial "Creating Your first web dynpro application" and was able to run my first web dynpro application on this PC.

Now, I also have installed the Netweaver Developer Studio on <u>an other PC</u>. I've pointed the J2EE engine to the PC where the Web AS is installed. I can see that J2EE is working. When I do the same exercise: Creating first web dynpro application. It is not working:

When I Deploy the application and run, the Developer studio launches the Web Browser but I’m getting the next error list:

Web Dynpro product information:

Product: null, Vendor: SAP AG, Version: null, Build ID: 6.3004.00.0000.20040209174308.0000, Build Date: Thu Jan 06 14:00:33 CET 2005

Hi All,

You need to check your SLD configurations and check the JCO connction to this link

http://your server machine name:port/sld/index.jsp

The SAP System Landscape Directory (SLD) maintains information about all installable and installed elements of your system landscape.

http://your server machine name:port/index.jsp

webdynpro->webdynpro->content administrator here you create JCO connection and test it..

Start buigind and deploying applications

Hope this helped you

Hi.

I have the same problem using NWDS 2.0.9. I have tried the solutions described but still cannot get the app working.

When using the Web Dynpro Content Administrator I have no JCO Destinations available.

I am using the sneak preview version of WebAS and NWDS so these should surely work together????

Hope someone can help....

Hi,

Generally it is preffered to have same version of WAS and NWDS in order to avoid errors apart feom this check your SLD configurations..

more over is your server is local or remote if it is remote have you set the server Host and port numbers in your NWDS (Windows -> prefferences)

hope this helps..

Hello,

it works !

I changed my JCO Connection Params in the Webdynpro Content Administrator to a Connection via Logon Group, and then everything works.

Hope this helps !!

hello

I meet the same NoClassDefFoundError problem when I use the completed developer studio. The application runs well when I use the sneak preview version. I don't connect to SLD, I just want to try some webdynpro programs. So I don't have any JCO Connection. But the same problem occurs. I think maybe SLD is necessary? or the patch level is too low for the completed develop web server?

Hi, I stopped getting the exception when I reverted back from NetWeaver Developer Studio 2.0.11 to 2.0.4.

Best regards,

Deepa.

Hi Even I am facing the same problem. Could anyone please give more info regarding this?

I did not face the problem while I was working with the sneak Preview version. But with the complete Web AS installation I am getting this error.
