Hi everybody.
today we upgraded the Database of our development system to Oracle 10.2.0.2.
SAP can be started fine. So i wanted to start the statistic run with
brconnect -u / -c -f stats -t all -f collect -p 4
but i am receiving the following...
entdev:devadm 3% brconnect -u / -c -f stats -t all -f collect -p 4
BR0801I BRCONNECT 7.00 (18)
BR0805I Start of BRCONNECT processing: cdtughtz.sta 2006-10-24 21.34.59
BR0280I BRCONNECT time stamp: 2006-10-24 21.35.00
BR0301E SQL error -27140 at location db_connect-2, SQL statement:
'CONNECT /'
ORA-27140: attach to post/wait facility failed
BR0310E Connect to database instance DEV failed
BR0280I BRCONNECT time stamp: 2006-10-24 21.35.00
BR0301E SQL error -27140 at location db_connect-2, SQL statement:
'CONNECT /'
ORA-27140: attach to post/wait facility failed
BR0310E Connect to database instance DEV failed
BR0806I End of BRCONNECT processing: cdtughtz.sta 2006-10-24 21.35.00
BR0280I BRCONNECT time stamp: 2006-10-24 21.35.00
BR0804I BRCONNECT terminated with errors
i have checked some notes about the permissions of the oracle executable. Everything is ok. R3trans -d and -x is working fine. OPS$ for the adm is also working fine.
Our System is Solaris 10
I hope someone can help me. because i really don´t know how i can solve this problem
Saludos

Can you please tell me what the solution was, as I would be doing some oracle upgardets to 10 and might come across something like this.
Thanks

First go through OSS Note 849483.
BRTOOLS 7 is used with Oracle 10 by default. If you have upgraded to Oracle 10 then you might have to manually update your brtools by replacing the br* files in the exe folder.
Also Oracle changes the way that it connects to the database. You also have to run the latest sapdba_role.sql script after your extracting BR* Tools 7.
This script should be part of the SAR file that your extract BR Tools from.
Hope this helps.
