Recording of Web Dynpro test script doesn't work

Former Member

Hi,

I have tried out the recording of a testscript for a Web Dynpro application. I have configured Web Dynpro in the preferences by checking the respective checkbox which enables the test script support.

Wenn I trigger the recording the browser is opened with the following URL (please note that I changed the URLs for security reasons):

http://abcserver:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/eCATTTest/ECATTTestapp?SAPtestId=17&sap.session.pl...

abcserver is the remote server the application is deployed to. 10.0.0.1 is my localhost.

The server where I deploy the application is remote. Unfortunately the recording view doesn't allow me to save any recorded script. But it indicates that the remote server is ready:

Application Url: http://abcserver:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/eCATTTest/ECATTTestapp

Port: 12007

******************************

The Server is ready to accept Xml files from the Web Dynpro Runtime on Port 12007

Does anybody know what's wrong here? Might it be necessary to configure the server for test scripting support?

Cheers,

Heiko

I am having the same issue only it is on port 12003. Do we need to open up ports on the server to Record Scripts with Web Dynpro Test Tool?

Is there any set up documentation available.

Stop Recording is disabled in Web Dynpro Test Tools. Any setting that needs to be done from server side ?

Hi,

Kindly goto Prefrences-Webdynpro-Webdynprotest and ensure that "Record Webdynpro View information in Test Script in Webdynpro" is checked"

Test Scripting - Preferences was already enabled.

No - Web Dynpro Test Case Record - Stop Recording is still disabled.
