Could anyone explain me the basic information about Java Stack in XI... Also What is the difference between ABAP and JAVA Stack...

It is way where we can handle during the runtime...that is runtime handling the mapping...we can say like this also ..depending upon the data received the conditions should occur means we go for Context handling.

Alexander,

Please go through the XI architecture...first that would really help you.

The reason to have ABAP and Java Stack

To my understanding,...

is for better utilization of the different technologies available.

Some components of XI run on Java stack(ex. AE, IB) and some run on ABAP stack.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

In general-

Adapter Engine is in J2EE stack

Integration Engine is in ABAP stack.
