Hi

Is it possible for BW functional consultant to learn XI. Is it mandatory to have knowledge on ABAP and Java to do XI.

our team working on BW and know very little ABAP. Is it recommended to learn XI.

Hey dude,

Especially technologies like SAP Netweaver -XI, TIBCO etc., middleware technologies are everybody can learn easily with some what basic java ( core java),XML knowledge.

The best way to lear XI is... U need to read sdn forum regularly

Hi Rakesh,

Although their are no prerequisites for XI, It's always advised to have a basic knowledge of ABAP, java and XML. XI forums are one stop answer to all your XI queries.

Hi Rakesh,

To be frank you need ABAP knowledge. I am not talking of the coding knowledge, but you should be able to call transactions, configure RFC destinations etc. ie you should know about the configuration.

Same goes with JAVA, intially you should have a know basic java and should continuously learn based on the requirements.

Hi Rakesh,

The BW Consultants can learn XI that is not a problem but it is adviced to have a knowledge in ABAP,JAVA,XML.

it makes you to understand the concept...
