take a look in the install guides area. You'll see several documents that discuss system copies and their methodolgies. Search for the following:

System Copy for SAP Systems Based on NW2004s SR1 ABAP

System Copy for SAP Systems Based on NW2004s SR1 ABAP+Java

System Copy for SAP Systems Based on NW2004s SR1 Java

I am in the process of installing a new standard ECC 6 on 64 bit OS and sql 2005. The purpose is so that I can do a clean upgrade from 32bit Os and Sql 2000.

My question is after I do the the install using ERP sapsinst.exe for x64 option, the result should be that I get the standard SAP install with clients 000, 001, and 066.

Now I want to import the data I exported from the 32 bit installation, what options do I use? I understand I can use R3load, I've been reading and reading, but all I have is confusion.

Anyone have any details?

Thanks,

Maria

Hi Maria / Manjunath, you can follow the instruction at http://service.sap.com/msplatforms -> SQL Server -> Upgrade to and Installation of SQL Server 2005.

Also you can go to http://service.sap.com/instguides -> SAP Netweaver 7.0 -> Installation -> System Copy for SAP Systems Based on NW 7.0 SR1 ABAP or System Copy for SAP Systems Based on NW 7.0 SR2 ABAP

If you have any other question, please post it.
