Unix versus Windows

My site is deciding between installing SAP R/3 Enterprise on UNIX (TRUE64) or WINDOWS (2003) platform with

Informix DB. The end users use Windows platform. There will be about 1000 users in the productive system.

Has anyone done with both platforms and if so, what are your SAP/R3 experiences...i.e. system performance

on unix vs windows, other OS issues , etc. ?

Where can I find some criticism or comparisons for both platforms?
