Hi all!
While installing Application server - is it nessecary to have database?
Not a seperate database ofcourse, because then it will becom a seperate system. The new app server will be connected to the same database as the CI.

For CI, DB will be installed with it as it is a must, but for app server, no database installation is needed.

Hi Prasad,
In most of the cases to install the Central Instance you need to have the DB installed before running the SAP installation, the reason is very simple after the system files have been copied the system will look for the DB to create the DB instance and deploy the initial tables. For an additional dialog instance you do not need a DB as this will use the same DB as the CI.
Hope this help
