MiniSAP 4.6 installation error COMCREATESERVERPORT

Hi All,

I am trying to install MiniSAP 4.6 in my laptop. I did install MS loopback adapter, checked for no entry of port 3600 and hosts file with local ip address.

When I started the setup.bat, it asked for the port number and on clicking Next, I get the error,

Error: INSTGUI ComCreateServerPort.

Please help me to resolve this problem.

Hello,

Please follow the following sequence to install minisap....

Step to install minisap:

1) Install Microsoft Loopback Adapter.

2) Add in this line in your host file (C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc)

127.0.0.1 localhost

10.10.0.10 your pc’s name

3) Put in the minisap cd to start installing.

4) It will take 15 mins to install. After succesful installed, install the GUI sap logon screen and follow the step in the Installation Guide in the CD.

You have successfully install Minisap

Still I get the same error. The foll. message,

R3setup uses a serial port to communicate to its frontend INSTGUI.

Normally port 59595 is used for this purpose. This port is reserved for another program. A new port number has to be allocated.

-->Also the error is mbsinst.log,

Error: InstController MakeStepsDeliver:108

Connection to GUI of installation tool has been cut off.

Got any chance to rectify this error. I am also thrown with the the same error looking for the same port number 59595.
