Can anybody describe what is the use of table RFCDES and can it be used for determining the difference between two different versions of code like one below 4.7E and one above it...?
regards,
Aabhas
Hi Aabhas,
Welcome to SDN!
<b>RFCDES</b> is used to maintain the details of the RFC destinations that
are maintained using the SAP transaction code - <b>SM59</b>.
I don't think that the table - RFCDES is used to find the difference between
the different versions of codes.

Hi
Goto SE16 & check the contents of the Table - RFCDES.
Then you will find that the table cannot be used to find the differece between the different versions of code.
It is the standard SAP table used to maintain the RFC destinations used in the
application for establishing the connection with other systems.
For finding out the difference between the 2 versions of code,
check the "Version Management" in SE38 & then compare the 2 versions of the code.
Check the following tables for version management:
<b>VRSD, SMODISRC, VRSMODISRC</b>
For more information on Version management, kindly check the following threads:
hope this helps!
Kindly reward points for all useful answers!

Thangesh
