Need help with used DC model

Hi all,

I've created 2 localdevelopment projects.

One mainproject and one models project.

In the models project i created a public part for a rfc model.

I add this public part to my Used DCs of my mainproject.

Now I want to use this model in this project bud I don't know how to do that.

When I choose add from the context menu from "Used Models" I can't find him there.

Please help, what am i doing wrong?

Hi B.

to expose an Adaptive RFC model to other DCs you must explicitly add the following entities to the public part of your DC:

- Adaptive RFC Model entitiy

- Logical Dictionary

The Public Part Purpose must be defined as "Compilation".

Important: To expose the Public Part to another DC you must explicitly trigger a DC Build (context menu item 'Development Component -> Build ...', so that the Public Part Archives is being generated. Without an existing PP archive the Client DC cannot 'see' the exposed Public Part Entities of the Service DC.

Yes thnx Bertram,

That did the trick!

I build the project only locally and not from the DC Build.

Only I wanted to add the dictionary also to the public part but I can't do that in my NWDS?

B.,

There is a similar question in the forum today, so I'm repeating myself:

-- Did you add model to public part? Right-click on model in WD Navigator, select "Add to public part..."

-- Rebuild model DC

-- Reload main DC

-- Now you should see model in list when you are adding used models to component in main DC

No sorry that's not the case.

I've did all that steps but I don't see the model in my "Used models".

I'm using NWDS version 7.0.06. Could this new version be the problem of it?
