Distribution in DMS

hi all.

i have been working on SAP DMS but never on the distribution of doc. The help files are confusing.

i would really appritiate if you could let me know the broad level settings to be done and the process of distribution that takes place.

Hi,

please go to the swdd transaction and enter the following worklow

templates (WS20000104 and WS20000137). Now you can activate them.

Hi Vivek,

You need to activate the standard workflow of DMS (WS20000104 and WS20000137). After this follow the steps for document distribution, select a document and a recipient, that can be internal or external.

Hi Vivek,

1 Define the users

- transaction SU01

- fill in the user name and click the change icon

- fill in the communication profile Remote mail

- save your user

2 Create a recipient list

- Transaction CV02N

- Environment => document distribution =>recipient list => create

- Insert users to your recipient lists

- Save your list

3 Start the distribution for the recipient list

- transaction CV02N

- fill in the document

- environment => document distribution => start distribution

Hi Martin,

I am also on the same position, for the first time i am doing this activity. I came across your thread. please do confirm me if the 2 workflows are activated and if i carry out this transactions cv02n and start distributing willit work. or if there are any more settings to be done. if there are any are there please let me know.

Please let me know how to activate the workflows WS20000104 and WS20000137.

Hi Prasad

Goto to the transaction PFTC. Select task type as "Workflow template", enter the task as "20000104", press Change or display icon.In the next screen click on the tab "Triggering events", under the event linkage(left side), click on the greyed icon to activate. Once activated it changes to Green color.
