hi,
If anyone here has used this adapter from Informatica to connect to SAP, I will appreciate any help in:
1. identification of the SAP tables required to browse to meet Informatica powerconnects information quality.
2. Identification of the various Bapi's that Informatica Powerconnect reads.
3. Identification of the various IDOCS's that Informatica Powerconnect reads.
Thanking you.
Thank you so much Agasthuri Doss.
It was definitely useful.
To eloborate on the issue:
i am building an adapter (much like informatica powerConnect), which will connect to a star schema datawarehouse. it will retract data in form of tables, idocs from the SAP R/3 OR SAP BW into it.
1. The tables- are they listed in Transparent table DD02L.
2. The BAPI'S- must be public (do you mean remote enabled?)
3. The IDOC's- are they taken from Tables- EDIDD, EDIDS and EDIDD?
Hope this also helps rekha. Any input is appreciated.

Hi,
For you First Question .
As Meta Data the SAP TABLES is available in the Powerconnect
For you Second & third Question .
See that the BAPI is Public
To Know what BAPI to be used :
Get into the System with Tcode - BAPI,
Then you can look for the specified area. Where search for the specified object.
Even from SE37 ( list of BAPIs) you can see their documentation to understand the use of the BAPI.
