I have downloaded the installables from

http://servcie.sap.com/support

When i started the installation i got the follwing error

nst out from this working directory. All log files will be stored in this working directory. For more information see note 809108.

"

Then i check the note

and made the changes as they have suggested.

i copied the sapinstable to /dvd directory and created a /install directory/.

Then i ran the following comamnd from the /install directory.

/dvd/UNIX/SUNOS_64/sapinst

I got the following error:

ERROR 2006-10-13 14:04:55

What is this problem.

Can someone please help me on this.

Is the mounted drive in NTFS format?

Can you try to move the support pack stack local. It seems like it doesn't like your mounted drive for some reason.

Also, did you clean up (remove) the install directory before starting again after following that ossnote?

Hi,

First of all check whether /tmp folder is full or not.

SIncethe DVD's are RAR files, u have to uncar it by using the SAPCAR utility, which is found /usr/sap/Inst<SID>/SYS/exe/run/

command is

SAPCAR -xvf XXX.RAR

after uncaring all the files you would be getting 3 CD's, they are

SAPINST

J22EE-CD

<DB-CD>

Then create Inst_<SID> folder under /usr/sap/

so the folder structure is /usr/sap/INST<SID>

form this path call the SAPINST CD.

I hope this would solve the problem

cheers
