ESS Customization

We have got to customize the ESS's leave application. This is what we have done:

Created a track

In the DC perspective's Inactive DCs tab, from the context menu of the application ess/lea selected 'create project'.

Now it is available in the web dynpro perspective.

is this the right way to do the customizations? After editing the code, how can we deploy it back?

Is it possible to remove the roadmap UI element from the applications??

Aneesh,

You can always 'check in' the changes you have done. You may want to read the help documents on making changes using Floor plan manager and also on DTR. The help that comes with NWDS also gives the information on what to do to check in.

From recent release of ESS components, you can configure the roadmap instead of changing in code.Again I am still using ERP2004 so less knowledge on how to configure but you can get it if you go through the documentation.

If you are in old version, you might be sure that you want to remove the roadmap as the application may fall out of sync with other ESS iViews look and feel.

Specify what you clearly wanted to achieve?
