Problem RFC-Connection

Former Member

Hi,

I have created a RFC-Connection to a R3/System.

We have connect to R3/System with VPN because the server is in another city.

So can anybody tell me which port a RFC-Connection is using?

So we will opnen this port in the firewall.

Thanks.

Regards

Stefan

it's the sapgw, alias 33<sysnr> where <sysnr> is the instance or system number (you put it the sap logon to connect via sapgui).

Hi

Take a look at this link whichhas the forumula to calculate the port number for each of the j2EE engine adapters,

Bhavesh, I wonder how you could earn so many SDN points with such so wrong suggestions...

What does <i>J2EE Adapter Engine</i> has to do with the question??? It's just an R/3 connection!

Alex,

I had assumed that he was looking for the RFC adapter's port. On the hind sight, I guess it was not relevant to his question, but, I hope you are not pointing fingers at me..!! Mistakes can happen.

Regards,

Bhavesh
