Hai all,
m new to the WebDynpro. i want to know whether projects can be develop using local development components only. that is using the NWDS only not the NWDI. if so how we develop DC in the NWDS, how to communicate b/w the DCs.

you can switch to the development perspective..
there u will find a frame called local dcs..
you can create dcs under mycomponents in that..right click and create the dcs..
Communication between DC you can do via the interface controllers
