IDES ECC6 Installation error - Configure CAF

Dear all,

I am now installing IDES ECC6 for MS SQL on win 2003 server.

But I have found an error:

INFO 2023-10-12 00:20:31

An error occured and the user decided to retry the current step: "|NW_Onehost|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|SAP_Software_Features_Configuration|ind|ind|ind|ind|5|0|NW_Usage_Types_Configuration_AS|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_CONFIG_CAF|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|configCAF".

ERROR 2023-10-12 00:36:58

CJS-30199 The CTC classes were not found after waiting for 900 seconds.

ERROR 2023-10-12 00:36:59

FCO-00011 The step configCAF with step key |NW_Onehost|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|SAP_Software_Features_Configuration|ind|ind|ind|ind|5|0|NW_Usage_Types_Configuration_AS|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_CONFIG_CAF|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|configCAF was executed with status ERROR .

Could you please help to provide me some hints ?

I don't know why, but at a moment, the problem disappear.

After several trials, I have done:

Restart IMP instance,

re-try,

Then error disappears.

Do you get any solution to the problem? I am seeing the exact errors and the server0 and dispatcher directories are not getting created in j2ee/cluster directory. I am trying to install java add-in central instance on RHEL4, with MaxDB.

We are having the exact same problem.

We're attempting an install on SuSE 9 ent server, Oracle 10 with patch. It keeps hanging at the CAF, phase 43 of 45. The logs look exactly like KK Lam's.

We have the same error in Sapinst, step 'Configure System Landscape Directory'

We are (trying) to install / add Xi(/PI) to an existing ECC 6.0 instance, where we wanted to install a local SLD.

i guess we are now opening a message in OSS

Hi,

I try to install ecc 6.0 ides and I have got the same problem on Configure CAF

My system sap running on

Linux DELL 2.6.5-7.244-smp #1 SMP

db oracle 10.2.0.2

I check the abap instance and it's ok

I check the j2ee and seems to be down

I try to start j2ee instance but if I read the start log on SCS and DVEBMGS it's ok

but I don't find any running process of j2ee instance.
