Version Control in XI

Is anyone using any solution for version control in XI. We want to use CVS but aren't sure how to integrate it with XI. I have heard here and there that NWDI is needed. Any feedback would be great!

Hi,

We are using versioning of Software Components. It is easy to copy to new Software component version and you can wok on two of them at the same time ;). But there is one problem with it and this problem is transport system (in our case CMS) because it is not supporting more than one Software component in one track and it's not possible two have different software component versions of the same software component in different tracks). Assuming there is versioning in integration repository but it's not fully supported by CMS (in case of file transports there shouldn't be any problems).
