How to start an File->XI->IDOC -Scenario manually?

Hi,

we have a File->XI->IDOC -Scenario with a polling time of 60 minutes.

Now it should be possible, that the enduser can start this scenario manually (by report or something else), because sometimes the user has to edit the file and then he/she cannot wait till the loop restarts.

How can we manage it?

Regards

Wolfgang

without changing the pool interval

there is not way (in standard) to start the apapter

unless you start and stop it from RWB

Hi Michal,

thank you for your replay.

How can I stop/start it from RWB? I cannot find any buttons/links to start/stop a process (we have PI 700, SP7).

Hi,

maybe it is possible to reduce the polling time from 60 minutes to 5 minutes. Most time there are no files to import and if the resource consumption of the XI-system is getting high because of reducing the polling time we will have a problem

Is it a big overhead if we reduce the polling time (and there are often no files to import)?

Hi,

Wow - that's great!

BUT.... it's working only in XI/2004 >=SPS17. We have PI 700/2004s SPS7

Do you know the corresponding SPS for this feature in PI 700?

I wanna ask my admin to upgrade - it's a feature the enduser (special endusers) really needs.

Thanks a lot!
