Hi,

I don't think, we have any ready made solution for this.

What is your requirement, where do you want to disable the node? you can invalidate the node by programmatically.

Sridhar,

I'm not sure if we are talking about the same thing.

What i want is to disable (the functionalities of) the context MENU of a WD. So when a user right-clicks on the WD a menu normally appears where the user can change personal settings.

This i want to disable / adapt.

Thank you,

I guess you refer to the WD ABAP end user personalization. This can be configured by a system admin but I am no expert in that area.

Hi all,

I found out what i what it's called that i wanted fixed and how to fix it

What i wanted to restrict was the users ability to PERSONALIZE the WD.

I did it by passing the WDDISABLEUSERPERSONALIZATION parameter with value = 'X' to the WD Application

This way the the contextmenu is still shown but the user can't personalize the view (adding/deleting ALV columns etc)

Thank you all for the help,

Heidi, i tried to award points but the forum has errors, cant award at the moment, sorry.

Hi Joris!

I would like to solve the same problem -

but I couldn't find the parameter WDDISABLEUSERPERSONALIZATION. I'm developing on SP9.

Which SP are you using ?

Frank,

In your WD component doubleclick on the WD Application (WD Anwendung in German). Its' the last item in th tree on your left. in teh main screen now go to the tab PARAMETERS.

Here you can add the parameter

Hope it helps!

Hi Joris!

Sure - but I don't have a Parameter like that and if I enter it in the parameters table it is not accepted. Which server pack do you use ?

Frank,

i'm on a 2006_1_710 system, its new and no SP's yet.

I've tried it on a 700 system and you are right.

The parameter doesnt exist there.

I'm sorry, this solution i've found only works on 710

Frank,

It's still in development stage.

I guess it will be released for ramp up end of year, and a few months later for general customers

Hi everybody!

SAP released a note with which you can use this personalization-parameter in >= SP08:

SAP note 990724.

With this note it works !

Frank,

Thanks for the tip, looks good!

I just might need that, because what i am developing on this 710 system also needs to be migrated to a 700 later on

Joris
