Event Based Message Processing

Former Member

My client requires that XI should pick up a file from the FTP server from 7 am to 6 pm everyday. There is no standard functionality in File Adapter as of now where we can specify the date and time of polling.

There is an event based message processing functionality which I was trying to use but in vain. I have done all the necessary configurations like

1. Specify the Sender

2. Define the Message Filter.

3. Define a Job

4. Start the Scheduler Job.

I followed the blog

/people/sreekanth.babu2/blog/2005/01/05/delayed-xi-message-processing

But the messages are not being filtered for the specified event ( message filter). My messages are getting processed right away. I have tested my Message Filter and it does work for a test message.

Has anyone worked on this? Any guideline would be highly appreciated.

May be you will not use Redwood scheduler but the steps are almost the same, so the scheduling part in the above given blog and the presentation will help you.
