Post to Fi Accounting - BAPI/iDoc

I am new to XI (Exchange Infrastruture 3.0) and am trying to create a mapping from an xml file to bapi/idoc for posting an inbound accounting document.

I have gone through the list of available bapis/idocs and found the following :

bapi_acc_gl_posting_post

bapi_acc_document_post

acc_document.acc_document01

acc_document.acc_document02

acc_gl_posting.acc_gl_posting01

What I wish to do is post a normal accounting document, but am unable to find the posting key field to define and post both debits and credits and am unsure how to take this foward.

I wish to use something similar or equivalent to the rfbibl00 program.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or offer an alternative bapi/idoc/method?

Hi Barry,

We have used the IDOC FIDCC1 with basic type: FIDCCP02

This works for many financial postings

Can I also use this to enter the long text field ? (this can not been done in RFBIBL00)

Hi Barry ,

You can use the BAPI "BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST" it has the same functionality as the SAP Direct Input program rfbibl00.

Does the "BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST" handles "Lonf texts" & Extras-> texts ?
