disp+work.exe stops

Hi,

I installed SAP NetWeaver Trial Full ABAP Edition on windows xp prof sp2.

When i try to login using SAP Frontend i get partner not reached error. Loopback adapter is installed and hosts file contains the ipaddresss and the server name.

Following is the observation in SAP MMC.

When the machine is restarted disp+work.exe is fine for a minute and it goes down and the status changes to stopped.

"*** ERROR => Connect to database failed, rc = -10709 (Connection failed (RTE:Location part contains characters which must be escaped))" is logged in the dev_w0 in work directory.

Any ideas how this could be resolved?

When i was going through previous forum posts i noticed that a similar issue was resolved by removing the underscore in the computer name.

I removed the underscore from the computer name, uninstalled and reinstalled the software and its working fine now.
