Problem starting ecc 5.0

I can't get disp+work.exe process to startup.

Can anyone tell me how to start this process?

Or where to look for errors.

Hi Karim,

one disp+work.exe is created per each of the wp defined in SAP, in order to start them you need to successfully start SAP, first place to look is in the SAPMMC Console and see whats the status of the processes specially if they are yellow. Then you can go and check the work directory and check dev_ms for errors in the message server, dev_disp for errors in the dispatcher and dev_w* for errors in the workprocesses. the work directory is located at <drive>:\usr\sap\<sid>\<instance>\work.

If the wp are not starting i will lock firsr at the dev_w0 and look for the error.
