Cannot create alert category, need help

Former Member

We have a PI7.0.

After click "alert configuration", we

click the button "create alert configuration".

Then we get a popup and it says:

SSO logon not possible; logon tickets not activated on the server

Choose "Logon" to continue A dialog box appears in which you can enter your user and password

No switch to HTTPS occurred, so it is not secure to send a password

Once I click 'logon', I get 'page cannot be displayed'.

Please help, points guaranteed. Thanks!

Hi,

Why dont you create the Alert Category in the ABAP stack itself? Use the TCODE -- ALRTCATDEF to create the alert category and then use the Alert Configuration in RWB to add the alert rules.

Hi Jennifer Lee,

For your Posting on the other Thread.

" SDM hangs after giving the password and hitting 'enter' "

One of the reason is due to the Post Installation error or not selecting the proper optiion in the Post Installation and the other is due to authorization failure mean time try out this

1) Check is the user XILDUSER or what ever user you have given is locked

2) Try out the SLD cache refresh.

3)Can you try restarting whole j2ee engine using transaction SMICM>Administration>J2EE Server-->End Process->With Restart.

4) Is it possible for you to do stop the SDM server using stopserver.bat, If so do it and SDM.
