I tried installing NWAS as got the following error at the tail end of MaxDBSAPNWPREV.log. Looks like a Login was attempted during install (See Italics) and failed that resulted in unistall kicking in. Any pointer on what to do next will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
It seems that you have already intallation of MAXDB, and the new installer is uninstalling it first and then stops the installation. Did you try it again after the error? It should work! Just try again.

My install was a clean install with no prior versions of MaxDB. After the first install failed, as per your suggestion, I tried installing again, however it failed again.
However, under Windows Start Programs, I saw MaxDB, uninstalled it, and then went through the install process again.
This time it succeeded. Dont ask me why Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Perhaps it had to do with installer trying to unistall the MAXDB instance that it just installed. Perhaps a bug in the installer.
