WD(J2EE): Error - Server did not accept login request as admin on port

Hi,

I am trying to deploy my application.

The WAS and EP was set up yesterday (7.0)

I am getting the following exception when i try to deploy:

"Server did not accept login request as admin on port"

I have tried everything

- Resetting of SDM password

- Making changes in Visual Admin --> Services --> Security Provider --> Authentication --> service.naming

But still same issue.

Also, i am accessing via VPN.

I am accessing remote computer over n/w.

In some threads i found that people have found the solution, but have not updated the soln.

Could some of you please help me out here?

Bharati,

R u able to log-in to the portal, with Administrator user? If yes, then maintain the same PWD for Portal and SDM.

You can change SDM Password from "\usr\sap\J2E\JC01\j2ee\configtool\configtool.bat", -> secure store -> change admin password and restart the server.

Hopefully, it should work.

Thanks for your reply.

My passwords for both are same.

And i had changed the password via secure store as well as command line tool

Still no change.

Any ideas?

Make an entry on

C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

<IP> <alias>

Devashish,

1. Are you able login through Visual admin. if not do the following stepsTry opening Visual Admin if your not able to login with username(administrator) and password. Problem with NWD2004s do the following steps.

C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC01\j2ee\configtool->configtool.bat->open it

1. Click on Secure store

2. Right you will find :

admin/password/J2E->retype your admin passowrd which you gave during installation=>SAVE properly

Restart the server and try login visual admin

2. Are you able to login SDM using remotegui.bat?. try deploy thro SDM.

3. Are deploying on correct message server port?. Server Port number information. follow this steps.

Go to http://<servername:port>/index.html

Click on System informattion -> login with administrator and passowrd.

there you will find full details about server and port number(message server port and enqueue server).

Thanks for your help.

I am able to login to Visual Admin.

One issue which i checked after seeing your point list is that i cannot login to SDM via Remotegui.bat....

Again same error comes up which comes in while deploying via Web Dynpro.

Lastly, port is correct as i picked up the information from this location only... .

So how do i rectify this RemoteGUI login failure...

And i am really sorry, in my first post i have mentioned that i am logging in via VPN... that is not correct..

I am not using VPN but using n/w to login into Remote server.

I can login to SDM Remote GUI via this password but from my client i cannot...

I tried telnet and that was successful, so dont know why is this error message coming from client only?

Any suggestions...

I am able to logon to SDM Remote GUI but unable to deploy using the same password from client machine.

What can be possible fallacies?

Hi Devashish,

Did you added your remote machine details in host file. if you given correct message server port number during deployment ideally it should deploy.

still problem exist could you please paste complete error trace

Hi

1)check remote IP Adress its pinging or not?

2)Goto the System information in your portal and check all the ports are corret or not like SDM and server.

These are possiblities.
