Hi,
With 5.5 SP4 MDM workflows can be integrated with EP workflows. How that integration work from a non-technical stand point? Do we still have to model MDM workflows in Visio? How the control is passed from EP workflow to MDM workflow and back?
Regards,
-Y
Hi Yasir,
from a non-technical stand point:
-the MDM 5.5 SP4 MDM WF is integrated on EP UI through the Universal Worklist (UWL) iView.
-UWL allows to display the MDM WF Jobs/Tasks, to Delete Jobs/Tasks, to Launch an unlaunched Job, and to Add/Remove Records from an unlaunched Job.
Yes, we still have to model MDM workflows in Visio. (Hint: please do not forget to install the MDM Workflow.exe on your PC before starting any WF operations in MDM).
The control is passed from EP workflow to MDM workflow using the MDM 5.5 SP4 Java WF APIs through the MDM Connector (see .
Official config steps to follow available here https://service.sap.com/installmdm -> document "MDM 5.5 SP04 - Enterprise Portal Content" -> paragraph "Configuring Universal Worklist".
Does this help ?
Thank you in advance.
Regards.
Laszlo.
