Hi everyone,
If SAP * user is not available at all in our system then how we will do client copy?
Regards
Ganesh
Have another user id set up in the client!
We constantly do client copies and we use our own ids to complete these tasks.

Hi
We have a very interesting problem.
We created a client, logged in with SAP* - PASS and then copied the 000 onto it. We then created a user SAP* without giving it any access (by mistake).
We now cannot do anything with this client since the only user available is SAP* and has no authorization to do anything. Is there a way of resetting the SAP* user from another client or by any other means?
Thanks

Hi
You may do it with DDIC user as well.SAP* user will not be there in your user master. But it will still be there. It cannot be deleted even when deleted by database methods.

If there's no SAP* user in your client you can logon anyway with SAP* user with standard password 'pass'.
Look also in OSS note 2383.

Hi,
Also make sure that the copy user has SAP_ALL temporarily so you can do the copy. Your security team can always reduce this after the copy.
Cheers,
Mike.
