Hi,

Thanks for that valuable info.

>>>>>PI 7.0 is available with NW 04s.

I have one doubt here,

Is it compatible with NW 2004.

If infrastructure is having 2004 only can I install PI 7.0?

>>>> not sure of this !!! But there is a FAQ section for 20004s in service.sap.com .. do try a hit there !!

Also ref:

/people/darrell.huffman/blog/2005/06/22/netweaver-2004s

And PI = Process Integration !!

from 2004s onwards XI is PI

For each Sp in XI3.0 there is a corresponding SP being released for PI (XI 7.0)

Have alook;

A comparision of the service packs in 2004 and 2004s;

in 2004 - in 2004s

SP12 & < - SP04

SP13 + 14 - SP05

SP15 - SP06

SP16 - SP07

SP17 - SP08

SP18 - SP09

Hi,

PI 7.0 = XI 7.0

the remaing process is not full

as in the docs you can still see XI

>>>>Is it available now?

yes PI 7.0 (XI 7.0) is avaialble - NW 2004s

BTW

PI 7.0 has the same same features as XI 3.0

the only difference is the ABAP stack

(which is 7.0 and not 6.40)

but from the developer point of view nothing new

Hi,

Take a look at shabrish's reply in this thread to see which SP of XI 3.0 is equal to the SP of PI 7.0

Hi Raghavesh,

PI is Process Integration. If you see the Netweaver Stack, XI is in the Process Integration Layer.

Hope this clarifies.

Regards.
