SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo) is a middleware component that supports communication between SAP systems and Java applications.

SAP Java Connector (SAP JCo) is a middleware component that enables the development of SAP-compatible components and applications in Java. SAP JCo supports communication with the SAP Server in both directions: inbound calls (Java calls ABAP) and outbound calls (ABAP calls Java).

In the SAP Web Application Server (SAP_BASIS), you can work both in a Java environment and in an ABAP environment. Communication between these components is established by the SAP JCo.
