Vendor Replication:D&B Number gets truncated

Hi,

We are on SRM 3.0,EBP 4.0.

We schedule both BBPGETVD and BBPUPDVD as jobs (BBP_VENDOR_GET_DATA_JOB and BBP_VENDOR_UPDATE_DATA_JOB).

When the D&B number is replicated from the backend(from field LFA1-KRAUS- Credit Info Number),only 9 characters are replicated. For example in R/3 if the D&B number is 31-234-2345, then in EBP only 31-234-23 is transferred.

The second issue is that during updation, system checks for duplicate D&B number and does not update.

For example if 2 vendors in R/3 have same D&B numbers,it updates only the first one and not the second vendor.The error shown is "Dun & Bradstreet number assigned more than once etc".

Is there some note or way to solve these issues?

Hi

For the second part of your question, while replicating the vendors with having same DUNS number, only first one will get updated but not the remaining ones. Its SAP standard.

But try to use central block for the first vendor in SRM and onceagain load the remaining vendor into SRM.

For the first part of your question, check the field statistics of the relevant DUNS field in SRM..
