Hi all,
when i try to update the spam version i get the following error - - Error in phase: CHECK_REQUIREMENTS
- Reason for error: TP_CANNOT_CONNECT_SYSTEM
- Return code: 0208
- Error message: error in transportprofil (param missing,
unknown,...)
it's a new 2004s installation and i guess it's related to stms configuration - can anyone guide me?
Hi
Check
whether your TMS is configured properly
tp connect <SID> pf=<path to transport prfofile>
R3trans -d
these note may be helpfil 97632,97632

Hi Prince,
this is what i got after running tp connect nsp -
sapparam: sapargv( argc, argv) has not been called.
sapparam(1c): No Profile used.
sapparam: SAPSYSTEMNAME neither in Profile nor in Commandline
This is tp version 370.00.09 (release 700)
E-TPSETTINGS could not be opened.
EXIT
ERROR: System : Parameter SAPEVTPATH not set. Batch jobs cannot be started.
Error in TPSETTINGS: transdir not set.
tp returncode summary:
TOOLS: Highest return code of single steps was: 0
ERRORS: Highest tp internal error was: 0208
tp finished with return code: 208
meaning:
error in transportprofil (param missing, unknown,...)
it looks like problems with the transport profile - where do i find it - is it related to the tppram file? - where can i find that file?
Regards,
Moshe
Hi,
Run the following command to check if your transport settings are correct :
tp connect NSP pf=/usr/sap/trans/bin/TP_DOMAIN_NSP.PFL
If you get errors, check if the file TP_DOMAIN_NSP.PFL presented in <trans-dir>/bin (default: /usr/sap/trans/bin).
If connection test is successful, use "pf" flag while importing via TP from OS level.
Regards,
Mike
Hello,
I have the same problem, but unfortunately the distribution of the transport profile doesn't work.
If I try to do this I get the error message:
File
DE-L068199\sapmnt\trans\bin\TP_DOMAIN_NSP.BAK could not be opened for writing (Permission denied).
There is a file TP_DOMAIN_NSP.PFL in D:\SAP\trans\bin, though.
I installed the trial version on a Windows system. Do I have to do something regarding file permissions and security? I released the file D:\SAP as 'sapmnt'.
