SOD Matrix for PSCD Module

Hello All,

I have been tasked to come up with a SOD(Segregation Of Duties) matrix for PSCD (Public Service Collection & Disbursements) module.

I am totally new to PSCD module and don't have any functional experts to explain me the business process and the critical transactions for laying out the SOD matrix.

If any of you have implemented or come across or can guide me in this SOD matrix for PSCD i would greatly appreciate it.

First ask for the organisation chart.This will give you the reporting structure.

Study the business process [i e] the process of collection and the disbursements.

Ascertain how money is being collected and compare with the internal control.You should be having a control objective for every internal control.Study the "control objectives".

Now you will have a good idea about how money should be collected and by whom.

Compare with the actual mechanism being adopted.

The variations are SOD violations.Discuss with the management and keep appropriate controls to arrest the violations.

Finish this excercise and come back to me.I shall guide as to how to proceed further.
