On page 30 (Part 1: Basic Concepts) the Console reference manual states that a TEXT data type can contain up 4000 chars., and warns that they are faster than using TEXT LARGE. When I attempt to create a text data element within an MDM repository I get the following ERROR message:
"Text fields are limited to a width of 1000. For greater widths consider using Large Text"
Is this a bug in my console (ver. 5.5 SP04 5.5.32.65) or is the reference manual wrong?
