Transactions are slow

Dear Sap fans,

Sometimes while executing some transactions ,it will take some more times.Kindly tell me what is the reason for this.

Hi.

Did you run standard jobs?

check whether update&optimizer is happening ?

check all the update,also check the consistency.

After that pls check in st04 and check the quality

Please try to check if the work processes are occupied via SM50 or if any Background processes are running for long time. Also at times the Batch users for Workflow occupy the proceses making the transactions slow.

BTW is it a random behaviour or is it happening for a particular trtansaction ?
