How do I resolve IDoc error because of Chinese text?

The following error is occurring in SAP R/3 4.7

I'm getting an "Error passing data to port" "conversion_erorr in segment: (000009)" while attempting to process an outbound IDoc. I believe the IDoc is failing because the IDoc is populated with some English values and a few Chinese character values. The SAP tables LFA1 and T001W both contain a mix of English and Chinese values. Does anyone know how to prevent the IDoc error from occurring?

Hi,

Install the chinese language on your R3 system and then make the log on language in your RFC destination as Chinese in SM59 in XI.

You might need to review the encoding technique which you are using.
