I'm new to SAP and trying to figure out the terminology.
Would some one please explain the differences between SAP Web AS and SAP J2EE Engine. Are they one of the same just different names for different releases?
I'm finding many references to both names, but no definitions as to what each one is.
Thanks
Hi, The SAP J2EE engine referrs to the Java Stack of the SAP WebAS, or SAP Netweaver Application Server(as it is now called). The NW Application server has two sides or stacks, the java side and the ABAP side. The java side is commonly referred to as the J2ee Engine.
