Hi,
I thought, from discussions with others that it is possible to install some kind of patch/plug-in to 6.20 systems that will allow them to reference the IR of an XI system and generate ABAP Proxies. However on reading the help portal documentation it explicitly says you need WAS 6.40 or higher.
Is this indeed the case? If not, could someone point me to the plug-in software needed (we have an IS-U system I'd like to apply it to)?
Thanks
Brian

The documentation might be a little be confusing.
When you want to work with ABAP proxies in WebAS 6.20 you have to read the XI 2.0 help concerning the proxy programming. The XI 3.0 help describes the programming of proxies in Web AS 6.40 /7.0

hi,
no, you can use proxies with 6.20 for sure
"If you want to generate new ABAP proxies on your business systems based on SAP Web AS 6.20:
Use SAP Web AS 6.20 kernel patch level 1253. See SAP Notes 675441 and 721160."
