Service Pack confusion

Former Member

Hi All,

I am working on XI/PI 7.0 server. When I navigate to the path IR>Help>Information, I can see the Service Pack as 08. What does this mean? What SPS is installed on the server SPS08 or SPS18??

Thanks & Regards,

Jai Shankar.

Jai,

Log on to your XI server ,--> System --> Status --> Componenet Information --> Click on the button under it and you will find the SP level of your ABAP stach including the BASIS componenet.

For IR and ID --> XI home page --> Administration --> Software Build Information.

As per michal's reply in this thread,

SPS07 is Sp 16 in XI 3.0 .. So SPS08 of PI is SP 17 of XI 3.0

Hi Bhavesh,

In XI server, I can find these info

Softwarecomp Release Level Highessupport Short description

SAP_BASIS 2005_1_700 0007 SAPKIPYJ77 SAP Basis Component

Also, Ican find the extended receiver option in Receiver Determination but not the interface "Receiver Determination"

Can you pls let me know, what is the problem here?

Thanks & Regards,

Jai Shankar.

Jai,

Whenever an SP patch has been applied to XI, the SAP BASIS compoenent has to be reimported into the IR of XI corresponding to that Patch Level.

Just check with the basis team if this was done?

Bhavesh

<i>In XI server, I can find these info

Click on the button under component info and then you will find a column called patch level , you can see the SP level of your ABAP components here.

Bhavesh

Hi Jai,

For checking Service Pack in Java system.

Go to http://<hostname>:50000 -> System Information

You may check ABAP Service Pack level in transaction SNOTE or go through the menu System -> Status. Here you find a field component version. Underneath you have an eyeglass icon. If you click this icon, you find the installed software components, the release, and the SP level.

Hope this clarifies.

Regards.

Hi Bhavesh:

I tried that. But I get a "403 forbidden. You are not authorized to view the requested resource" message. Do you know what XI role I need to view this info?

Thanks.
