Dialog instance error

Dear all,

System details: iseries, v5r3m5, sap r3ex4700 sr1, kernel(u) 640.

Requirement: I installed dialog instance on windows 2003 server. Work process does not start. Log is attaced here.

I have updted the patch also.

Can anyone advise me.

yes, it was typing mistake and SI24144 is already installed.

The version of dll is also 10.0.0.7

Hi Kamal,

if you are on 64 Bit, I guess you are using the only supported AMD64 bit one ...

Go to the following web-site:

There you find the following:

For V5R4 iSeries Access for Windows:

qxdaedrs_v5r4.exe (32 bit)

qxdaedrs64_Itanium_v5r4.exe (64 bit)

qxdaedrs64_AMD_v5r4.exe (64 bit) <<<

For V5R3 iSeries Access for Windows:

qxdaedrs_v5r3.exe (32 bit)

qxdaedrs64_Itanium_v5r3.exe (64 bit)

qxdaedrs64_AMD_v5r3.exe (64 bit) <<<

You should download the AMD 64 Files for your OS/400, then it'll work, as as I know of the CA Service Pack only contains the 32 Bit code, which is not sufficient for you.

Itanium is not supported, so you will not use that I hope ...

The file qxdaedrs.exe i downloaded and when i executed it has created one folder in c:\program files\XDA V5R3 iSeries Access for Windows.

It has created the qxdaedrs.dll, readme.txt and DATACONV.REG. I have copied all these files to system32 directory also.

ptf si24122 exist but si241789 does not exist.

How to check the qxdaedrs.dll version? should i import dataconv.reg? should i also import si241789?

The file dbdb4slib.dll exist and i updated it with the latest patch.

there is a typo in your PTF, or you checked the wrong one ...

si24122 <=> SI24144

Version ? Right mouse click on properties on the dll ... => version ...

Did you already check the existence of the DBSL 'C:\usr\sap\KRP\D01\exe\dbdb4slib.dll' ?

You should also check the version of this dll.

is your PTF level and the QXDAEDRS.dll current ?

The following should be installed:

qxdaedrs.dll Version 10.0.0.7 needs at least SI24144 (or SI24789) (V5R3)
