Hi! Gurus,
Can you please help me by providing details (step by step)procedure for Homogeneous System Copy for R/3 4.7 (Kernel 620 NU) on Windows /Oracle.
I have to migrate my system from existing Server to a new Server.
Thanks and regards,
Pratip
and the target platform is going to be X86_64?
Then have a look at:
Oracle 10g Support on Windows: 6.40-Based SAP Systems
The note Upgrade to Oracle 10.2 during a database copy
also contains the information from where to download to the homogenious system copy guide.
regards
Peter

Hi! Peter,
Hi!
No. My all platform in x386 32 bits. No 64 bit.
As the Server hardware got problems and running out of disk space so I have to migrate the SAP system to a new Server H/W. This is a Dev. System.
Details :
Current : SAP R/3 4.7 (SR1) 1.10 IDES with Kernel 6.20 NU
OS : Windows 2000 AS
DB : Oracle 8.1.7.4.1
Proposed : SAP R/3 4.7 (SR1) 1.10 IDES with Kernel 6.20 NU
OS : Windows 2003 R/2
DB : Oracle 9.2 or 10.2g
Thanks and regards,
Pratip
well, as far as I know you will only get 64 Bit Server Hardware at the moment - if bying new one.
Nevertheless - the path to the migration guides shown in the second referenced is also the right one for you.
You should youse Netweaver 04 SR1 CD Sets for Export and also for building the new system. 620 Kernel is no longer supported.
Peter
